Aladdin 2026 Auditions
This Christmas, Aladdin is coming to The Bull Theatre.
We are looking for both young performers aged 7–16 to join the ensemble and adult performers to take on the principal roles in this year’s pantomime.
Auditions for both groups will take place at The Bull Theatre, High Barnet, on Saturday 19th September 2026.
Young Performers
Young performers aged 7–16 are invited to audition to join the ensemble of Aladdin.
This is a chance to be part of a fun, vibrant Christmas production featuring music, dance, comedy and plenty of pantomime magic.
Audition date: Saturday 19th September 2026
Time: 1:30pm–3:00pm

Adult Casting
We are casting the principal adult roles of:

Aladdin – playing age 18–28

Jasmine – playing age 18–28

Dame / Widow Twankey – playing age 25+

Abanazar – playing age 25+
Aladdin will be a fun, vibrant and magical pantomime packed with comedy, music, dance and audience interaction.
We are looking for confident, dynamic performers with strong acting, singing and comedy skills who can embrace the larger-than-life style of pantomime and connect with the audience.
Roles
Aladdin
A charismatic, energetic leading performer with strong acting, singing and comedy skills. Must have excellent audience interaction and the ability to carry a pantomime lead.
Jasmine
A strong female lead bringing warmth, humour, energy and personality to the role. We are looking for a performer who can connect naturally with the other characters and the audience.
Dame / Widow Twankey
A confident comic performer with excellent timing, physical comedy and audience interaction. Previous pantomime or Dame experience is desirable but not essential.
Abanazar
A strong character actor with a commanding stage presence, able to play the villain while embracing the comedy and larger-than-life style of pantomime.

Audition date: Saturday 19th September 2026
Time: 3:30pm–5:00pm
Location: The Bull Theatre, 68 High Street, Barnet, EN5 5SJ
Performance dates: 1st–24th December 2026
Intensive rehearsal week: 19th–23rd October 2026

Please prepare a song of your choice and bring a backing track.
Sides/material will be provided for you to read on the day.
